While the iPhone comes with everything you need to get started. The fact is that most stock accessories are just no good. For under $100 you can upgrade to far superior accessories. Case in point two Maximo products I review here.


Here I have two headsets from Maximo for the Apple iPhone. The iP-HS1 iMetal® Stereo Headset which has a more traditional earbud style and the iP-HS2 iMetal® Isolation Headset which provide noise isolation in ear. Both allow you to listen to music on the go as well as take incoming calls from your friends and family. Also these two Maximo headsets are specially made for the iPhone. As you know the iPhone has a recessed headphone jack. So only ones specific to the iPhone will work fully without an adapter. Both headsets retail for MSRP:$69.99 and are a fair price for what you get.



Design – Unlike cheap plastics that other headsets use. Maximo goes metal with these headsets that give it a more premium feel and style. They are very attractive headsets that go along with iPhone distinctive style. These are so good I think Apple should bundle them with their iPhones.

Function - After trying the Maximo Headsets I would never go back to stock headset again. Music sounds better and incoming calls are crystal clear. Also you get the choice between the two headsets. The isolation earphones work well for travelers who want that noise reduction. While the stereo headset is good for music lovers.


Conclusion – Both the iP-HS1 iMetal® Stereo Headset and the iP-HS2 iMetal® Isolation Headset are excellent replacement headsets for the iPhone. They are definitely a good value for their price and a major upgrade from the stock headset. I highly recommend these headsets for it’s great design, price, sound, and build quality. They will not disappoint.
