We take a look at two products today, the wired usb model and RF wireless model of the all in one HTPC keyboard, mouse, and touchpad. The main difference between the two is one uses RF 2.4GHz DSSS radio transceiver 10M/32ft range while the wired model uses a simple USB connection.

The two Efo handheld keyboards and touchpad’s are near identical in the package. The wireless version comes with a dongle while the wired model comes with only an usb cable.
The device is similar to typing on say a Blackberry. I use my thumbs and can type pretty well on the little device. The device has a large touchpad area that feels similar to a laptop touchpad. The left and right mouse buttons are below the touchpad. There is an on/off switch and an usb charging port.

Both devices are plug and play and no need of a driver when using XP. These all-in-one devices from EFO are perfect for HTPC where you can control the PC with the mouse function. And use the mini keyboard to type on. This device is also useful for laptops and PCs. Say a college student wanted to watch a movie on their computer. All they have to do is pick up the EFO keyboard and navigate their PC from the couch or bed.

Overall I am very impressed in the EFO wireless/wired keyboard and touchpad. The device is dead simple to use and very convenient. Anyone who has a HTPC and a big screen TV will love this device. It’s a small keyboard/mouse combo that is perfect for HTPC users.
