Livespeakr Review

Reviewed by K.C. Kim

While Apple updated the iPod Touch 2nd generation with a built in speaker, the speakers are pretty much product tiny soundingd. So I was looking for a decent external speaker that I can take on the go and use while I travel. I happen upon the Livespeakr and thought I'd give it a try.

Design: The Livespeakr comes in either white or black. I chose the white version to be different as I noticed all the reviews online are for the black model. The speaker is made of mostly plastic and is pretty durable. The speaker has a built in rechargeable battery. The Livespeakr can be used with the Classic, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and iPod Touch 2nd Gen. Several parts are detachable so you can move each part to where the particular iPhone or iPod headphone jack is located. Included is a usb charging cable, wall charger, and travel bag.

Function: The Livespeakr can be used in both landscape and portrait modes. This allows the user to use the landscape for watching movies, while portrait for listening to music. Compared with the internal speaker of the iPod touch 2G, the Livespeakr brings big sound that can be heard across a room. The speaker has good bass response and is a pleasure when watch movies and listening to music.

Conclusion: Currently on sale now for $79.99, this is bargain for a premium speaker system for your iPhone or iPods. It has excellent sound from a small package. And would be great to travel with. It also works with 6 different model iPods/iPhones. This is a must buy for any iPod or iPhone owners.
