This usb wifi adapter boosts connections with the 5dBi Antenna. I installed the driver with the included cd. Then I used Windows program to find wifi connections. Before using the built in wifi in my laptop I found maybe 2 connections. Now with the wifi adapter I can get up to 12-15 connections available. At $12 this is a good deal if your looking for a WIFI Booster.
