Nintendo announces DSi and DSi Shop
Nintendo has announced the DSi dual screen portable game system. According to the company this is a third platform so most likely not replace the current DS lite but supplement it. The look of device is not radically different from the DS lite except it is 12 percent thinner, has no GBA slot, larger 3.25 screens, three pixel external camera and facing web camera.
Nintendo will also launch a DSi Shop so you can Wifi content directly to the unit. Pricing will be about $178 in Japan and launcho on November 1 in your choice of black or white.
