Optimization-world.com 6 Ft. Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable - 28 Gauge - Gold Plated 1.3b Review

Paying too much for cables at the brick and mortar? Well the great thing about the Internet is you can get some great deals online. Optimized Cable company provides a ton of affordable premium cables like HDMI cables, Component cables, and other cables for your home theatre and HDTV setup.

I was actually looking to get a HDMI cable. And 6FT seems to be a popular length. I have a 42" Panasonic Plasma so HDMI cable can output high quality HD video. I have several gadgets that I used the cable with. I tested the cable with my PS3 Slim and WDTV Media player and outputted to 1080P and the quality was quite simply fantastic. Games really pop out in high definition.

In my opinion price does not make a cable good. What counts is performance and the 6 Ft. Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable - 28 Gauge - Gold Plated 1.3b outputs video as good as a high priced HDMI cable. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to watch the best quality video on their HDTV.

9.5 Out of 10

You can order the Optimation-World 6 Ft. Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable - 28 Gauge - Gold Plated 1.3b at their website HERE

PowerQ POWERHD-100 Indoor Portable Pop-Up Digital HDTV Antenna

If you got your two coupons from the government then your going to need a good antenna. This one is highly rated on Amazon.com. With a rating of 4 1/2 out of 5 it's pretty good. It costs $60 but get's alot of digital channels. When I used a regular antenna with my convertor I got a total of two channels.

Time to go Blu-Ray DVD Player

I have been waiting for the blu ray vs HD-DVD format wars to be over to help me decide what next gen format I should buy. When HD-DVD went dead and abandoned by it's supporters. The decision was made for me. I want to buy blu ray player that would work best for me. Whether it would be a PS3 with built in Blu Ray or a standalone player or maybe even a laptop equipped player. With prices now more reasonable I think it's the right time to buy blu ray players with hdtv's.

Next year will be a major shift as digital tv becomes in the forefront. So it's time to go all out. Buy that 42" plasma tv, buy a stereo system, and buy a high definition player.

EngadgetHD reviews Vudu service

EngadgetHD gives the Vudu service a whirl.

Their thoughts on the download service is as follows:

We wanted the VUDU to deliver in such a way that HD freaks could really grab hold if those excruciatingly long wait times encountered with Netflix / Blockbuster were pushing them to find an alternative. Unfortunately, we still can't wholeheartedly recommend the VUDU to those who appreciate high-definition. To be honest, the device still seems grossly overpriced when you consider that the aforementioned rental-by-mail options can be turned on and off on a whim, provide flicks that don't vanish 24 hours after you hit play for the first time, and have HD libraries that far exceed that found on the VUDU.
