Onda VX777 adds WIFI

The Onda VX777 an upgrade of the previous VX767 with one main difference. The addition of WIFI should put this player at the head of the class in terms of functionality for MP4 players. The device will share similar features to the VX767 like video and TV out. But with the addition of WIFI and possibly touchscreen. Unless this is running Windows CE a browser is doubtful. Most likely the WIFI will be used just for internet radio. We shall see in August when the VX777 drops.

Pricing 4GB will be 599 yuan. According to IMP3 the Onda VX757 will have a aluminum alloy body, possible core-optimized video, RM / RMVB, AVI, FLV, MOV, ASF,. MP4, WMV, 3GP video formats, and continuous playback 18 hours of music and seven hours of video. The one downer according to IMP3 is that it will not be touchscreen. Jay Chou will continue to lend his name to the new player with preinstalled content.

Onda VX747 next generation (Onda VX858) goes widescreen

You may remember the iPhone style flash mp3 player Onda VX858(2.8") and its little brother Onda VX878(2.4"). Well now the next generation has arrived. With a larger 3.0" TFT Touchscreen with a new widescreen 16:9 400x240 resolution. It will use the same chipset Chinachips JX4740 that is used in VX989+ and Ainol V2000SE. Other features include support for up to 32gb microSD expansion.
