Rumors of a Samsung Gear 2 Solo which does not need to pair with a Smartphone is on the horizon. In the past all SmartWatches required a Smartphone to pair with. The Samsung Gear 2 Solo is said to be able to make phone calls on it's own. The Gear 2 Solo has the model number SM-R710 and is considered a wearable Smartphone.
