The Wii U has not sold as well as Nintendo would like. With tough competition from the upcoming PS4 and Xbox 720 the Wii U is in an uphill battle.
Analyst Michael Pachter has stated that the Wii U is selling 20,000 less units than the original Wii. This is not a good start for the company.
