Crave hands on with the Lenovo S9
Cnet blog Crave got hands on with the latest Lenovo internation 8.9" S9 Netbook. This was a prototype that still needs some work. Here are some of their thoughts:
Like a smaller, less-ornate version of the IdeaPad U110
In fact, I anticipate the primary drawbacks of the IdeaPad will be the same as the VAIO: The compact keyboard and screen are really too small for extended typing and viewing.
Then again, the IdeaPad's compact size--about that of a trade paperback--makes it ideal for basic computing while on the move.
Release date for the S9 is September in China while the S10 is slated for October in the states.

Asus EEE 900a - A for Atom?
Blogeee has info on yet another Asus EEE PC. This one the EEE 900A. From the looks of the netbook it appears to be a EEE 900 chassis with possible Atom chip inside. This makes sense since I know many people who thought the EEE 901 looked uglier in it's chrome and round edge design.
